This city is the ancient oasis and trade point on Silk Road. This city is one of the most important cities in the production of oil.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>The city was founded over a hundred years ago by the first military governor Skobelev M.D. and had name New Margilan city.<\/em><br \/>\nOvernight in the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Day 9.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><b>Fergana \u2013 Distlik \u2013 Osh. <\/b>(120 km)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Breakfast in the hotel.<br \/>\nTransfer to \u201cDustlik\u201d border. Meeting of the group by the Kyrgyz guide. Transfer to Osh city.<br \/>\n<em>Osh is the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan. It is one of the oldest cities of Central Asia, located at the southeast end of the Fergana Valley in the northern foothills of the Pamir mountains \u2013 Alai.<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Then we have city tour:<\/strong> Suleiman Mountain, one of the treasures of the Islamic world of Central Asia.<br \/>\nSuleiman Mountain is located in the center of town and is both a historical and cultural monument. The mountain guarding the city from enemies.<br \/>\nFirstly we visit the historical museum, located in the main cave of the mountain. After a trip to the museum, we follow the \u201cpath of pilgrims\u201d to the top of the mountain, where we can see the small mosque of Babur, the founder of the Great Mughal Empire. The city can be seen from the viewpoint located near the mosque.<br \/>\nOvernight in the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Day 10.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><b>Osh Bazaar. Osh \u2013 Bishkek flight.\u00a0<\/b>(10 km)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Visit Osh Bazaar, the largest market in Central\u00a0 Asia.<br \/>\nYou walk along the colorful rows of Golden market, watch black smiths working and smell aromas of spices, fruits and vegetables of Food market. You finish your immersing into oriental life by visiting the handicraft rows.<br \/>\nIn the afternoon flight to Bishkek.<br \/>\nTransfer from airport to Bishkek.<br \/>\n<em>Bishkek \u2013 is the capital and industrial center of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek is a city of wide avenues, handsome buildings and Soviet heritage. The gesturing statue of Lenin can still be seen in the city\u2019s vast central square, yet it is the permanently snow capped Kyrgyz Ala-Tau mountain range which towers over Bishkek providing a quite stunning backdrop.<\/em><br \/>\nOvernight in a hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Day 11.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><b>Ala Archa National Park. Sightseeing tour in Bishkek.\u00a0<\/b>(80 km)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After breakfast we drive to Ala Archa Natural Park located in a picturesque gorge of Ala Archa 40 km off from Bishkek.<br \/>\nIt is a popular place for hiking, skiing and mountaineering including trips to more than 20 glaciers. It covers the area of 200 km\u00b2 \u2013 mostly forested valleys, waterfalls and rivers rich in trout. The altitude of ranges varies from 1500m to the highest point 4895m (Peak Semenov Tien Shanski). Several rare species of fauna and especially traditionally revered juniper trees are under protection in the Natural Park.<br \/>\nIt has very diverse fauna: mountain meadows are the habitat for wild goats, deer and marmots. Ala Archa National Park is one of the few places of the habitat of the rare snow leopard.<br \/>\nIn the afternoon transfer to Bishkek to begin our city tour.<br \/>\nWe visit <strong>Manas Monument<\/strong>, the main national hero of the Kyrgyz people. Then excursion to the <strong>State History Museum<\/strong> and transfer to the main <strong>Ala Too Square<\/strong> to watch ceremony of changing of the <strong>Guard of Honor<\/strong>, main governmental buildings, and finish at the <strong>Old Square<\/strong> with <strong>Parliament House.<\/strong><br \/>\nOvernight in a hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Day 12.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><b>Bishkek \u2013 Cholpon Ata via Burana tower. <\/b>(290 km)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the morning one hour drive to Burana Tower (old minaret) near Tokmok city.<br \/>\n<em>That minaret was constructed in Balasagun town; one of the capitals of Karakhanid State existed in 11-12 centuries AD. Explore ruins of that important trading point at the Great Silk Road and visit a little local museum telling about that civilization. Also watch a collection of Balbals, Turkic ancient tombs.<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Optionally:<\/strong><\/span> <em>On the area around the tower it is possible to organize horse riding games.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>After that we drive to the Issyk Kul Lake, the second largest alpine lake in the world after Lake Titicaca in South America.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Measuring 182 km long by 58 km wide, the lake appeared as a result of volcanic activity. It is heated from below by thermal activity and never freezes even in the depths of winter.<\/em><br \/>\nOvernight in a hotel on the lake shore.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Day 13.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><b>Cholpon Ata \u2013 Karakol. <\/b>(150 km)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In Cholpon Ata town we visit so called \u201cStone Garden\u00bb or Cholpon Ata Petroglyphs site.<br \/>\nCholpon Ata Petroglyphs site is \u2013 a large open-air collection of rock carvings sometimes referred to as a Stone Garden, which covers some 42 hectares and contains a number of prehistoric monumental structures (stone circles, tombs, the remains of a boundary stone wall, Balbals) and Petroglyphs (dating from the II millennium BC thru the Middle Ages and up to the VI century AD).<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Optionally:<\/strong><\/span> <em>You can go on an hour boat cruise in the lake to admire clear water of Issyk Kul with snow capped Tien Shan Mountains in the background!<\/em><br \/>\nAfter that we drive to Karakol town along the northern shore of the Issyk Kul Lake. We visit Museum of N. M. Przhevalski, Dungan mosque, Old Russian Orthodox Church.<br \/>\nOvernight in a hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Day 14.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><b>Karakol \u2013 Djety Oguz gorge \u2013 Karakol.\u00a0<\/b>(60 km)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Full day.<br \/>\nIn the morning we visit Djety Oguz gorge to admire the landscapes and to make some photos.<br \/>\n<em>Djety Oguz in Kyrgyz means \u201cSeven Bulls\u201d. This picturesque gorge is named so because of the red rocky sand formations covered with forests of Tien Shan spruces. We hike up the main gorge along the winding Djety Oguz mountain river. On the way you visit some yurts of the local nomadic families.<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Optionally:<\/strong><\/span> <em>Eagle hunting demonstartion.<\/em><br \/>\nReturn to Karakol. Overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Day 15.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><b>Karakol \u2013 Kochkor \u2013 Bishkek. <\/b>(400 km)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Breakfast in a guesthouse.<br \/>\nTransfer to Bishkek city by the south shore of Issyk Kul Lake.<br \/>\nA short stop on the way for hiking <strong>Skazka gorge<\/strong>.
